Request an API keyFrequently asked questions
Can we start using the Catalog API immediately?
Access is by application. Submit the form, and we usually send a developer-console invitation within two business days after reviewing your use case. Once invited, you issue an API key in the console and can start building right away.
Can we use the data in a commercial product or internal system?
We review the use case, display method, covered data, and redistribution requirements. Usage is allowed within the agreed contract scope; this page does not grant unrestricted redistribution or resale rights.
Can an application be declined?
We may decline applications whose purpose is redistributing or reselling the data, or whose use case cannot be confirmed. In that case we let you know the reason by email.
How is nutrition-data accuracy handled?
Each product is returned with its provenance: values published by the chain (official), values a business registered with kalori (brand-registered), or AI estimates (estimated). We also agree on suitable presentation and notices for the intended use.
How do billing and cancellation work?
Your contract terms (pricing and usage limits) are always visible in the developer console. The previous month is finalized at the start of each month and charged to the card on file; invoices and receipts are available in the console. Contracts renew monthly and can be cancelled at any time (ending at the end of that month). Large-scale use and special terms (redistribution, custom data) are available on request.
Do you offer CSV or a focused proof of concept?
Yes. CSV and scheduled data files suit initial validation, batch workflows, and internal analysis. If your requirements are still taking shape, you can start with a small evaluation on selected chains or fields. Describe it in the use-case field of the application form.
Does this include individual meal records?
No. This business offering covers product catalog, restaurant, and nutrition information. Individual kalori users' meal records and personal information are not provided.
Apply for Catalog API access
The application form is in the developer console (console.kalori.jp). For CSV or a proof of concept, describe it in the form's use-case field.
The invitation goes to the email address you enter. A company-domain address speeds up review.
Once approved, you sign in with a one-time code sent by email (no password).
